Your loan application must first be approved and certified by your school (for U.S. schools) or confirmed by MPOWER (for Canadian schools). You also need to provide a valid immigration document, like a visa, before we can send money to your school. Once MPOWER releases the funds, it may take five to seven business days to appear in your school’s account.
For U.S. schools, we’ll ask the school’s financial aid office to certify your loan 60 days before your loan term starts. This process can take two to six weeks. If your loan term is coming up soon, contact your school’s financial aid office to speed things up.
For most Canadian schools, you can set your disbursement schedule after accepting your loan offer by contacting your relationship manager. Based on your disbursement schedule, we may need a recent school invoice to finalize the exact disbursement amount. If that’s the case, you’ll get an email notification from us.
