The following are the eligibility criteria for an MPOWER loan:

• Citizenship: You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, DACA recipient, U.S. refugee/asylum seeker, or an international student from these 190+ countries.
• School: You are enrolled in an MPOWER-eligible school.
• Program: You are enrolled in an MPOWER-eligible program.
• Graduation Timeline: You are graduating in the next 24 months.
• Visa/Immigration Documentation: You have or have applied for a valid visa to study in the United States.
• Academic Performance: You at least have a GPA of 2.5 if you have completed at least one semester in your current program 

Canada 

The following are the eligibility criteria for an MPOWER loan for Canada School:

• Citizenship: You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, DACA recipient, U.S. refugee/asylum seeker, or an international student from these 190+ countries except Canada. 
• You are not eligible if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident attending or planning to attend a Canadian university/school.
• School: You are enrolled in an MPOWER-eligible school
• Program: You are enrolled in an MPOWER-eligible program
• Graduation Timeline: You are graduating in the next 24 months
• Credit History: While a U.S. credit history is not required, any available credit history will be reviewed as part of the process
• Visa/Immigration Documentation: You have or have applied for a valid visa to study in Canada 
• Academic Performance: You at least have a GPA of 2.5 if you have completed at least one semester in your current program.
