What are the steps to refinance my loan?

To start your refinance application with MPOWER:

1. Check Eligibility:
   • Ensure you live in the U.S.
   • Have a valid visa (including H1-B and F-1 while on OPT) or are a DACA recipient, a U.S. Citizen, refugee, or asylum seeker, and 2 or more years of work authorization.
   • You must be employed full-time in the U.S. for at least 3 consecutive months.
   • You must be a citizen of the U.S. or one of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Germany, India, Kenya, South Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Switzerland, Spain, or the United Kingdom. For more citizenship and residency requirements, click here.
2. Begin the Application:
   • Visit the MPOWER website and go to the refinancing application section.
   • Start your application by following the on-screen instructions.
3. Submit Required Documents:
   • Log in to your MPOWER Portal to upload necessary documents, such as job offer letters, work authorization, identification, and proof of current debt.
4. Complete the Process:
   • After submitting your documents, you'll receive instructions for a credit check. Complete it to move your application forward.
